Introduction

We are looking for a skilled IT solution architect that will work as segment architect for the Infrastructure Portfolio for Industrial Services.

You will beworking with the overall infrastructure architecture for factories and warehouses. Therefore, you possess a comprehensive set of skills and proficiencies to ensure seamless integration, efficiency, and security within these operational environment. Since you will work with modern technologies and industrialized services in public cloud as well as in a traditional IT landscape, you can expect a challenging environment. You will be driving the implementation and standardization agenda done in close relationship with our partner(s) and in alignment with the overall Volvo Group target architecture and long-term strategy.

You will work closely with other Digital & IT teams, our main IT services suppliers as well as our Group Trucks Operations IT organization. This role has the responsibility for creating and maintaining the target infrastructure architecture map and ensuring its use in Volvo Group Truck Operations facilities worldwide but does not include driving implementation projects or specific solution designs.

What are your responsibilities

In your role, you will:

• Own and facilitate the management of the segment architecture.
• Identify and escalate missing infrastructure technical capabilities which are relevant for the segment.
• Produce and maintain the long-term segment architecture strategy and roadmaps, in collaboration with other Volvo Group stakeholders.
• Contribute to the long-term architecture for the entire IT infrastructure portfolio by contributing to related processes and forums.
• Collaborate with the other architecture functions and in particular act as an escalation point for Infrastructure portfolio in the context of the segment.
• Contribute to the development of guidelines, methods and frameworks.

• An in-depth understanding of Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) and their interactions in an industrial and logistics context.
• 10+ years of proven experience in enterprise-wide implementations, focusing on application hosting services, network connectivity and security servicesand endpoint services.
• Broad and diverse experience withcloud environments (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS).
• Ability to provide technical system solutions, determine overall design direction and provide recommendations for complex technical issues.
• Ability to engage executive level stakeholders on complex matters with limited oversight and guidance and think strategically and tactically, with effective decision-making skills.
• Familiarity with governance frameworks and regulatory compliance standards as well as architecture principles and methodologies.
• Knowledge/experience working in an agile environment.
• A professionallevel of spoken and written English
