Working in the tech team at Doctolib involves building innovative products and features to improve the daily lives of care teams and patients. We work in feature teams in an agile environment, while collaborating with product, design, and business teams.

What you'll do

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Patient Identity Management team in the Patient Health Platform domain.

As a Senior Software Engineer, your mission will be to help Doctolib develop a holistic patient application that empowers users to manage their health and access to care.

You will work in a product team that develops essential features and services that enable patients and their relatives to access secure accounts at any time to manage their health, administrative and personal information.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collaboratively design, implement and maintain high quality solutions delivering value to our users.
  • Implement best practices to maintain and improve high standards for engineering and operational excellence.
  • Proactively monitor the health of the system in your team’s scope by measuring SLIs and improving and maintaining alerts.
  • Continuously build your domain knowledge and influence outside the team to help your team deal with dependencies and reduce uncertainty.
  • Contribute to the modularization of the team’s domain enabling Doctolib to scale.
  • Provide thoughtful and constructive feedback during pair programming sessions.

Who you are

  • You have in-depth knowledge of Ruby on Rails.
  • You have experience navigating technical debt, developing strategies to contain it and driving initiatives to actively reduce it.
  • You are familiar with Domain Driven Design.
  • You are an advocate for pair and mob programming.
  • You are product-oriented and comfortable guiding your teammates to suggest tradeoffs to balance business needs with technical constraints.
  • You have experience in monitoring the health of the system you are building and actively contribute to its improvement.
