General Summary:

This position is for an experienced Embedded system/network software engineer with a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities.

The primary technical focus is on networking and enabling embedded systems and other components necessary for networking platforms, including WLAN (Wi-Fi) driver/firmware, networking protocols, and WLAN-related software on Linux OS.

The daily work may include customer training, issue debugging, feature development, and project follow-up. The individual will also support customers in integrating Qualcomm networking solutions into their products and assist from the design phase to mass production. Interaction with marketing teams, product managers, sales teams, and development teams will be essential to resolve customer issues and report project progress.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP and networking protocols (DHCP, ICMP, bridging, routing, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with real-time embedded systems.
• Experience in networking driver development, Ethernet, and Wireless LAN driver development preferred.
• Knowledge of Airties / EasyMesh / SON technology.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with customer support and debugging techniques.
• Willingness to travel when needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with wireless, embedded processor platforms, and Mesh networking solutions.
• Familiarity with mesh networking, specifically with Wi-Fi Alliance Mesh networks.
• Knowledge of embedded software for Linux, OpenWrt, prplWrt, RDK-B.
• Familiarity with Linux software debugging and programming.
• Strong understanding of Linux OS kernel and network drivers.
• Good team player, able to perform under pressure.
• Experience with Airties, EasyMesh, OpenWRT, QSDK, RDK-B, PrplWRT, OpenSync.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 2+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 1+ year, or a PhD. Candidates with equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to fulfill the role will also be considered. Programming experience in C, C++, Java, Python, etc., is required.
