PETROFF AVOCATS is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our engineering team and work on a large-scale production application. The role focuses on building and improving a Laravel backend and a Next.js frontend, with PostgreSQL and ongoing MongoDB migration, plus Dockerized infrastructure, CI/CD, and cloud deployment.

You’ll collaborate with the DevOps engineer to enhance deployments, infrastructure, scalability, and performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in Laravel.
• Extensive experience with Next.js and React.js.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Experience building REST APIs.
• Docker experience and Linux servers.
• Familiar with CI/CD workflows.
• Ability to understand large production codebases.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our engineering team and work on a large-scale production application. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working on modern technologies, and taking ownership of products used by real users. You'll be joining an existing engineering team to help accelerate the development of one of our flagship products. The application is already in production and includes:

• Large Laravel backend
• Next.js frontend
• PostgreSQL database
• Existing MongoDB components (currently being migrated)
• Multiple third-party API integrations
• Background jobs & queues
• Scheduled cron jobs
• Dockerized infrastructure
• CI/CD pipelines
• Cloud-based deployment

You’ll work closely with our existing DevOps engineer to improve deployments, infrastructure, scalability, and application performance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys understanding complex systems and improving them rather than simply building small applications from scratch.
