PETROFF AVOCATS is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our engineering team and work on a large-scale production application. The role focuses on building and improving a Laravel backend and a Next.js frontend, with PostgreSQL and ongoing MongoDB migration, plus Dockerized infrastructure, CI/CD, and cloud deployment.

You’ll collaborate with the DevOps engineer to enhance deployments, infrastructure, scalability, and performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in Laravel.
• Extensive experience with Next.js and React.js.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Experience building REST APIs.
• Docker experience and Linux servers.
• Familiar with CI/CD workflows.
• Ability to understand large production codebases.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsabilités

• Develop features for an enterprise‑scale web application.
• Maintain Laravel APIs and backend services.
• Develop frontend features with Next.js and React.
• Migrate MongoDB to PostgreSQL.
• Optimize PostgreSQL queries and performance.
• Integrate third‑party APIs and manage cron jobs/queues.
• Collaborate with DevOps on deployments and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement long‑term fixes.
• Participate in architecture discussions and code reviews.
• Mentor junior developers when needed.
