We're looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer to help us secure scale and innovate our Action Platform. This platform powers integrations with third-party systems for various products including Workflow Automation App Builder and more. These actions range from sending a Slack message or updating an AWS S3 bucket to deleting a Kubernetes pod. We also support Private Actions which run on customer infrastructure via a Go runner while Cloud Actions are handled by TypeScript Actions.

In this role you'll collaborate across two key teams:

• API Team: Focused on the orchestration and scaling of our infrastructure and cloud services with an emphasis on security posture and threat mitigation.
• Runtime Team: Dedicated to the development and lifecycle of our action platform runners enhancing the Action Developer Experience supporting UI components delivered to clients and ensuring secure environments.

What You'll Do:

• Contribute to high-priority, high-visibility projects to increase the platform's resilience and scalability.
• Collaborate with team members and partners to make architectural decisions for distributed, high-throughput, real-time systems.
• Identify and address potential risks and trends in reliability.
• Drive the development of secure, scalable systems for both cloud and on-premise solutions.
• Partner closely with other teams and platforms that integrate with the Action Platform to deliver critical capabilities to customers.

Who You Are:

• You have experience leading impactful initiatives in a platform or infrastructure-focused environment.
• You are passionate about optimizing performance and efficiency in large-scale systems.
• You have hands-on experience building and operating distributed systems and understand the complexities of high-scale architectures.
• You have a strong reliability-oriented mindset and care deeply about resilient systems.
• You are proficient in backend programming and have contributed to the development of secure scalable software.
