A leading company in digital experience analytics is looking for a Data Engineer to join the Privacy & Trust team in Paris. The role involves designing and optimizing systems to enforce data governance while collaborating with legal and security teams to ensure compliance. Ideal candidates will have solid background in software engineering and strong programming skills, especially in Golang.

Qualifications

What we are looking for

• We’re looking for a data engineerwith a strong software engineer background. The ideal profile is someone who thrives on low-level thinking, performance optimization, and engineering excellence. You will be part of the Data Privacy & Trust team, composed of 5 people located between France and Spain.
• This team is working on critical infrastructure that ensures data is used and governed responsibly at scale.
• We are especially interested in candidates who have:
• 4–5 years of experience in software engineering, ideally with exposure to data platforms
• Strong programming skills — preferably in Golang, but Scala, Java, or Python backgrounds are welcome if the engineering mindset is strong
• Experience with distributed systems, data processing pipelines & cloud service providers (Experience with k8s, Clickhouse, AWS & Azure is a plus)
• An ability to think in terms of system design, efficiency, and scalability
• Fluent English (French or Spanish is a plus)
• A strong background from tech-driven companies

What you will do

• As a Data Engineer in the Privacy & Trust team, you will:
• Design, build, and optimize internal tools and systems to enforce data governance at scale
• Work closely with security, legal, and platform teams to ensure data flows are privacy-compliant and observable
• Improve performance and reliability of data pipelines and backend services
• Collaborate on complex projects involving data protection, access control, and pipeline observability
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical roadmap decisions
