Senior Software Development Engineer - Fullstack
Job Description
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Work on new product features and maintain existing versions.
- Collaborate in a modern environment utilizing state-of-the-art technologies.
- Work with R&D teams on software development in both English and French.
- Apply best practices, methods, and techniques of modern software development, complying with medical device regulations.
Responsibilities
- Design technical solutions that meet functional specifications and address potential risks.
- Participate in technical decisions aligned with architectural guidelines, supported by architects.
- Develop embedded applications following standards and integrate them into the final device.
- Maintain high-quality, testable code; participate in code reviews and pair programming.
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deployment in coordination with other teams.
- Collaborate with Ops and Security teams to ensure compliance.
- Document technical and regulatory information in English.
- Estimate task durations and assess associated risks.
Team and Context
Join Philips CI&I Paris, responsible for a flagship product managing medical device data and hospital systems. You will be part of the Edge Devices team, focusing on embedded applications and OS for bedside devices.
Required Skills and Experience
- Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science.
- Experience with Windows environment: installation, security, customization.
- 7+ years in software development, including 3-5 years in C#/.NET, package management (NuGet), dependency injection, and unit testing on Visual Studio.
- Knowledge of Web development (Angular) is a plus.
- Experience with embedded software.
- Proficiency with Github, Azure DevOps, Github Actions for CI/CD.
- Proficiency with Azure Cloud solutions.
- Strong organizational skills, rigor, and multitasking ability.
- Quick learner of new methodologies and team collaboration skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral.
Preferred Experience
- Software craftsmanship, DevOps culture, and code analysis tools like SonarQube.
- Vulnerability management (preferred but not required).
- Experience in healthcare (preferred but not required).
- Experience with Linux OS (appreciated but not required).
