Job Description:

Job Title: Senior Software Development Engineer (CPS-ES2)

Business Environment: Dynamic Functional Tests is a central team under the CPS-ES2 organization, integrated within the Engineering Tool Chain train (formerly xDLC). We develop tools around testing and quality to serve other Amadeus teams. Our team is located in Villeneuve-Loubet.

We are seeking a new team member to work primarily on the Test Tool Server (TTS), which emulates Client/Server communication by simulating clients, servers, or both. TTS has been a core tool at Amadeus for years and remains heavily used. Other tools like MOX and ACT may be considered in the future, but TTS will remain the main focus.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Analyze specifications and define user requirements for new or upgraded software solutions.
  • Design technical solutions, conduct feasibility studies, and propose options for validation.
  • Develop software following Amadeus standards, including database modeling, designing, and implementation.
  • Perform unit, package, and performance testing to ensure quality.
  • Collaborate with MDW/SI teams to keep TTS aligned with mandates and requirements.
  • Create comprehensive software documentation as needed.
  • Support users by providing guidance and fixes when necessary.
Accountabilities:
  • Mentor and support less experienced colleagues.
  • Leverage advanced technical knowledge to contribute to the business.
  • Influence decision-making, contribute to projects, propose process improvements, and ensure team commitments.
Specific Skills and Knowledge:
  • Solid understanding of network protocols, especially TCP.
  • Proficiency in C++ and Python.
  • Basic knowledge of Docker, Podman, and Jenkins.
  • Familiarity with WSL 1 and WSL 2.
  • Strong Unix and Shell scripting skills.
  • Knowledge of Windows and CMD/Powershell scripting.
  • Amadeus-specific knowledge (e.g., SI/MDW, transport and conversation protocols, Artifactory) is a plus.
  • Java and cloud technologies (Helm, ArgoCD, Openshift, Azure) are advantageous.
Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of software development experience.
  • Proven success in project delivery.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • User-centric approach and willingness to support others.
