Senior Service Reliability Engineer

Business Environment

Our mission as part of Amadeus Cloud Services is to support the expert technical team supporting Azure Public Cloud transformation and on-premise infrastructure, mainly Hyperconverged solutions.
The support is primarily for Amadeus internal R&D.

You will need to understand Amadeus High Level Design regarding cloud transformation and provide your vision and adaptations for your team.

Your team will focus on automation (Vmware VRA, Terraform, Github) and building/maintaining platforms on Vmware infrastructure. You will facilitate migration support for internal customers.

Your team will be distributed across Europe, Americas, and India.

Your Main Responsibilities

Work on two solutions: currently 50% on-premise and 50% Azure Cloud, evolving towards more Cloud.

Support Vmware infrastructure team

Support Cloud Automation / DevOps team

Common accountabilities:

Manage a team of staff employees, set objectives, conduct reviews, and recommend pay actions.

Define a team vision aligned with department strategy, with autonomy and guidance from senior management.

Act as a technical reference, solving complex problems proactively.

Optimize operational efficiency based on policies and experience.

Specific accountabilities:

Organize and support the team in cloud migration efforts.

Continuously improve internal processes for automation and cloud integration solutions.

Present solutions and proposals to management.

Support operational teams during incidents, diagnose issues, and report status.

Support evaluation and support of tools for automation and cloud solutions.

Design, implement, and support cloud integration solutions, managing end-to-end deployment.

Coordinate technical requests during releases and communicate plans and results.

Define operational, security, and high-availability requirements for automation solutions.

Maintain architectural knowledge through interaction with operational and development groups.

Participate in audits and feasibility studies.

Design and deliver complex solution sizing and feasibility studies.

Who are we looking for?

Technical Skills

Knowledge in platform services such as VxRail, Nutanix, VMware, storage solutions, and backup systems.
Azure cloud expertise and certifications.
Automation tools (Github, Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform).
Linux and networking skills.
Ability to explore and build solutions on Azure and other cloud providers.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and security concepts like encryption and certificates.
On-premise skills include VMware, hyperconverged solutions, SAN storage, NAS, and backup systems.

Soft Skills

Analytical thinking, excellent communication, sharing expertise, presentation skills, continuous learning, adaptability, customer focus, teamwork, innovation, proactivity, autonomy, multicultural approach, proficiency in English.
