Job Title

Senior Service Reliability Engineer

Business Context

The Offer SRE team is responsible for deploying, running, and maintaining all applications within the Offer domain. This includes a variety of applications such as availability processing, airline inventory, schedule and disruption handling, revenue management, and others. Our role is to operate these applications end-to-end, from deployment to incident response, and to provide consultancy for the product DevOps teams.

Your Main Responsibilities

As a Service Reliability Engineer, you will work as part of an experienced global team to industrialize and manage our Amadeus services within agreed Service Level Agreements, while designing and implementing improvements to workflows and tooling.

Common accountabilities:

  • Have working experience and advanced technical/functional knowledge in your discipline. Understand how your area contributes to the business. Support and mentor colleagues with less experience.
  • Influence decisions related to your activity, anticipate dependencies and consequences, contribute to transversal projects, and propose process improvements.
  • Work independently within your team’s scope, with guidance on complex situations.

Specific accountabilities:

  • Manage application operations for Amadeus Core Services end-to-end.
  • Manage the full application stack (OS, Databases, Data Stores, Application, Links, vNW, and support functions) according to service levels.
  • Service Automation.
  • Change and Release Management: Manage and execute change, release, and test processes, and drive automation.
Problem & Incident Management

- Use your functional and technical knowledge to lead activities and perform at a high level.

- Contribute to a healthy, collaborative environment by leading by example.

About the ideal candidate
  • Experience as Systems Administrator, Software Engineer, DevOps, or networking in a large environment.
  • Knowledge of Python, Bash scripting; Ansible is a plus.
  • Knowledge of release management tools like Git & OpenShift.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills.
