Senior Security Engineer

A client of ours is looking for a Senior Security Engineer. You’ll play a key role in identifying risks, analyzing security incidents, and improving our defenses across networks, systems, and applications—all with a high degree of autonomy.

Key Responsibilities:

Investigate security alerts by digging deep into logs and tools to uncover root causes.

Continuously enhance security measures to protect infrastructure and software.

Partner with engineering teams to find and fix vulnerabilities before they become threats.

Coordinate with external vendors on security tools, updates, and pilot projects.

Automate routine tasks to boost efficiency and reduce risk exposure.

Collaborate remotely with security operations and respond swiftly to phishing and abuse reports.

Support compliance activities by providing necessary evidence and documentation.

Ensure security best practices are embedded throughout IT and business processes.

Ideal Candidate:

Holds a degree or equivalent experience in computer science, cybersecurity, or related fields.

Has 5+ years in security roles with a solid understanding of network and application security principles.

Familiar with common security risks and frameworks such as OWASP.

Experienced with cloud environments, especially AWS, and identity management concepts.

• Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., CISSP, AWS).

Comfortable with scripting and basic coding to support security automation.

Strong communicator who excels in a remote, collaborative work environment.

Able to juggle multiple priorities independently and maintain focus on key objectives.
