DECTRIS seeks a Senior Scientific Solution Engineer to own the time-to-value for customers, from discovery to onboarding, across labs worldwide. You will map scientific problems to our detector-based solutions, lead technical discovery, and run value-driving trials.

You will build demos and tooling with AI, travel up to 50% internationally, and translate between researchers, engineers, and sales while feeding insights back to product teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in business development, sales/solutions engineering, or a comparable customer-facing technical role.
• Strong domain expertise in materials science and/or structural biology.
• Strong, fast coding ability to build tooling, scripts, and demos.
• Ability to understand customers' science and problems deeply.
• Excellent communication across researchers, engineers and executives.
• Experience using AI tools in work.

Responsabilités

• Own time-to-value for prospective customers from discovery to onboarding.
• Lead technical discovery on customers' science, instruments, and workflows.
• Design and run trials and proofs-of-value on customer data.
• Run workshops and hands-on sessions to convert evaluators to users.
• Build network to scout and originate opportunities in sync with scaling product.
• Translate between researchers, engineers and commercial stakeholders.
• Feed field insights back into product and science.
• Travel to customer sites and laboratories; work where science happens.
• Use AI and coding to build demos, scripts, and tooling to shorten trials.
