Job Summary & Responsibilities

We are looking for an ambitious individual to take over sales responsibility in a territory in South Europe, including France, Italy, and key accounts in this region. The sales manager will report to the Senior Director of Sales Europe and will represent Onto Innovation and its product portfolio, supported by technical experts from local and international teams. The ideal candidate is well-organized, energetic, an excellent communicator, a team player, and passionate about technology and innovation.

The sales manager will align requirements and targets across various functional groups on both the customer’s and Onto Innovation’s sides, under a comprehensive sales strategy they develop and implement to drive growth. This role requires both commercial and technical experience, especially in managing customer interactions related to complex capital equipment, preferably in semiconductor manufacturing or related industries such as electronics, optics, instrumentation, or solar technology.

Qualifications
  • University degree in a technical field with commercial experience, or a degree in a commercial field with technical experience.
  • Proven sales record with a driven, self-sufficient, and well-organized approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time within Europe and internationally.
  • 3-15 years of experience selling capital equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 products.
Advantageous Skills
  • Experience selling metrology and inspection systems.
  • Basic knowledge in optics, yield management, defect inspection, and metrology technologies such as ellipsometry and interferometry.
  • Understanding of frontend and backend semiconductor manufacturing techniques.
  • Knowledge of CRM and ERP systems like Salesforce, SAP, or Oracle.
  • Experience managing global customers across multiple continents.
