Arkios seeks an experienced Safety Design Specialist to support a major engineering company on industrial projects in the Paris area. You will perform HSE design studies and hazardous area classifications, conduct risk assessments and contribute to HAZID/HAZOP and SIL reviews, developing safety solutions for cryogenic leaks and other hazards.

You will review layouts to ensure compliance with international safety standards, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and clients, and prepare

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Industrial Risk, Process or Chemical Engineering.
• 15+ years in Oil & Gas engineering, incl. 10+ years in HSE.
• Strong knowledge of API, NFPA, IP safety standards.
• Experience with ATEX, Fire & Gas, fire protection and risk assessment methodologies.
• Fluent English; French language skills are a plus.

• Perform HSE Design studies, including hazardous area classification (ATEX), fire protection and Fire & Gas detection.
• Conduct risk assessments and participate in HAZID, HAZOP and SIL reviews.
• Develop safety solutions for cryogenic leaks and industrial hazards.
• Review engineering layouts and ensure compliance with international HSE standards.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, clients and subcontractors.
• Prepare and review technical deliverables and contribute to HSE engineering improvements.

Engineering degree, preferably in Industrial Risk, Process or Chemical Engineering.

15+ years of experience in Oil & Gas engineering, including at least 10 years in HSE.

Strong knowledge of international safety standards (API, NFPA, IP).

Experience with ATEX, Fire & Gas, fire protection and risk assessment methodologies.

Knowledge of French ICPE / SEVESO regulations is a strong advantage.

Fluent English required; French language skills are a plus.
