Job summary

Groupe PARLYM is seeking an experienced Rotating Equipment Engineer to lead the rotating equipment scope on FPSO projects. The role involves design leadership during detailed design and procurement, and supervision of the EPC contractor’s rotating discipline across interfaces, with oversight for pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.

Ideal candidates bring 15+ years in rotating equipment, strong familiarity with API/ISO/ASME standards, FATs and vendor coordination, and fluent English

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience in rotating equipment engineering, including FPSO or similar oil & gas projects.
• Proven involvement in detailed design, review of engineering documents, and interface management.
• Experience with FATs, technical bid evaluations and vendor coordination during engineering.
• Solid knowledge of API, ISO, ASME and other international standards.
• Ability to support technical audits, HAZOPs, and design reviews with multidisciplinary teams.
• Exposure to commissioning and pre-commissioning activities, punch list clearance and system completion.
• Fluent in English; French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the Rotating equipment scope and deliverables of the project during the detailed design and procurement phases.
• Supervise FPSO EPC Contractor design of relevant discipline and aid/support to pre-commissioning and commissioning/start-up preparation teams.
• Ensure FPSO Rotating equipment and design consistency, optimization, operability and flexibility with interfaces management and leadership to other packages.
• Ensure FPSO EPC design of rotating discipline complies with SO R, contract docs, schedule, budget and safety practices.
• Provide close supervision and control of Rotating equipment purchase orders execution by the main EPC CONTRACTOR, including visits to vendors and attendance to pre-FATs and i-FATs.
• Avoid stand-by/delays by prompt response to engineering queries or waivers and handle unexpected technical issues proactively.
• Minimize design change during detailed design to secure schedule.
• Promote and comply with safety instructions and other HSE rules.
