Wandercraft is seeking a Senior Modeling & Simulation Engineer to design, develop, and evolve our simulation environment for control development and large-scale experiments. You will enable faster iteration and robust testing of robotic systems across multidisciplinary teams from AI & Control to embedded software and mechanics.

You will contribute to realism, robustness, and performance of simulation tools, work with Python/C++, and apply ML and control strategies to validate robot behavior in

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in robotics, computer science, or related field.
• Experience in robotics simulation, physical modeling, ML, or control.
• Strong programming and software development practices.

Responsabilités

• Develop and evolve the simulation environment to improve physical realism and model fidelity.
• Optimize simulation performance and scalability for large-scale tests and learning campaigns.
• Develop and apply parameter identification methods to improve model accuracy and predictive power.
• Reduce the sim-to-real gap between simulated and real robotic systems.
• Design and implement new simulation capabilities for control, robotics, and ML teams.
• Maintain and evolve the simulation platform (infrastructure, tools, pipelines).
• Collaborate with control and ML teams to enable algorithm development and validation.
• Conduct technology watch on simulation methods and engines used in robotics.
• Identify, evaluate, and benchmark new simulators or frameworks.
• Lead the integration of new simulation engines into the control architecture.
