Overview

Your role: Reporting to the VP Risk & Insurance, you will oversee global liability claim management (excluding North America), support the placement of insurance programs and drive risk management initiatives in close partnership with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the liability claim process: notifications, follow-up and settlement negotiations with insurers, external lawyers and loss adjusters.
  • Provide management information and reporting as required.
  • Review data to identify trends and opportunities for loss improvement.
  • Own the team's liability claim notification and reporting system.
  • Support placement of the global Liability program and other insurance programs; active member of the captive\'s underwriting committee.
  • Advise Legal and commercial teams on insurance clauses in customer/supplier contracts based on claims experience.
  • Manage local French programs (e.g., Personal Accident, Decennial) and lead the insurance workstream for M&A (due diligence, SPA).
  • Collaborate with internal product safety/quality committees and the US claims team.
Profile / Qualifications
  • Legal qualification with strong policy wording expertise (especially liability).
  • Proven experience in liability claims handling and global insurance programs (broker, insurer or in-house).
  • Fluent in French and English.
  • Able to work independently and within an international team.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Analytical mindset, strategic vision and proactivity.
  • Ability to challenge brokers and insurers with tact and diplomacy.
