Alice & Bob in Aubervilliers is seeking a Senior RF Engineer to own the quantum control RF chain. You will design, build and validate RF test benches and control electronics supporting superconducting qubit experiments.
Reporting to the Hermes Team Lead, you will collaborate with hardware engineers and quantum researchers to ensure precision, reliability and scalable instrumentation for growing qubit control needs.
Senior RF Engineer – Quantum Control H/F at Alice & Bob, Aubervilliers. A senior-level full time position in the Control Electronics & Characterization team, listed under hardware engineering.
Alice & Bob is developing the first universal, fault-tolerant quantum computer to solve the world’s hardest problems. The quantum computer we envision building is based on a new kind of superconducting qubit: the Schrödinger cat qubit. In comparison to other superconducting platforms, cat qubits have the astonishing ability to implement quantum error correction autonomously! We're a diverse team of 250+ brilliant minds from over 35 countries united by a single goal: to revolutionise computing with a practical fault-tolerant quantum machine. Are you ready to take on unprecedented challenges and contribute to revolutionising technology? Join us, and let's shape the future of quantum computing together! Behind every stable qubit is a chain of RF hardware that has to perform flawlessly — and that's what you'll be building. In a context of rapid scale-up of Alice & Bob's quantum processors, you'll ensure that control electronics and RF instrumentation keep pace with the growing demands of qubit control. Reporting to the HERMES Team Lead, our electronics and systems integration team, you'll design, build and validate test setups and characterization benches — and, where existing commercial solutions fall short, design custom RF hardware (power amplifiers, LNAs, filters, bias tees) — to guarantee that every piece of equipment meets the precision and scalability needs of our quantum chip design teams.
