Senior Research Associate - Your future position?

We are looking for a Senior Research Associate to support our Delivery Systems Active Beauty team in Argenteuil. Reporting directly to the Head of Delivery System Active Beauty, you will play a key role in developing cutting-edge delivery systems while engaging with customers to provide tailored solutions. By conducting independent research activities and documenting results, you will contribute to the achievement of Givaudan's goals and corporate strategy.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Research & Development: Plan and execute technical projects within the active ingredient encapsulation field. Deliver high-quality results and maintain accurate documentation. Use your knowledge in emulsions, biopolymers, and delivery systems to conduct experiments and analyze data. Use relevant software and tools, including Design of Experiments and AI tools, to support research activities.
• Identify IP opportunities: Stay alert to opportunities for developing intellectual property (IP) and protecting inventions within the active ingredient encapsulation. Highlight potential IP opportunities to contribute to Givaudan's competitive advantage.
• Transfer technologies: Work with scale-up teams to transfer technology from the laboratory scale to the manufacturing plants. Collaborate with teams to provide a smooth transition and efficient implementation of research finding.
• Ensure safe and well-maintained laboratory environment: Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly laboratory environment following Givaudan's EHS guidelines. Prioritize safety and compliance while conducting research activities. Familiarity with cosmetic compliance principles and a basic understanding of regulatory standards is beneficial.
• Develop scientific excellence: Continuously develop and maintain scientific excellence in the encapsulation of cosmetic ingredients. Stay updated on the latest advancements, methodologies, and technologies through literature review, conferences, and interactions with suppliers.
• Contribute to research methods: Contribute to the development of research methods and technical planning. Collaborate with colleagues (Produt design, Biological evaluation, Scale up & Industrialization, Regulatory) to enhance the efficiency of research processes.
  
  

You?

Your successful professional profile includes:

• PhD in a relevant scientific discipline or master's degree (MSc) with 3 years experience
• Laboratory experience and project management is required, experience in the cosmetic industry and with encapsulation is advantageous
• Fluency in both English and French languages
• Autonomous, hands-on, and able to navigate uncertainty
• Knowledge of Cosmetic regulations (China INCI, Nagoya) is beneficial
