C12 Quantum Electronics in Paris is seeking a Senior Quantum RF Engineer to lead RF/microwave design for quantum hardware, spanning room‑temperature electronics to cryogenic interconnects. You will craft low‑noise signal chains, perform automated testing, and mentor junior engineers.

You will collaborate with quantum scientists and packaging teams, define interfaces and acceptance criteria, and contribute to technology roadmaps in a dynamic startup environment.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience designing and testing RF/microwave systems.
• Strong knowledge of S-parameters, impedance matching, transmission lines, resonators, noise and signal integrity.
• Hands-on with RF laboratory instrumentation and measurement techniques.
• Experience with RF PCBs, microwave assemblies or interconnects.
• Proficiency with Python, MATLAB, or similar tools for automation.

Responsabilités

• Design RF and microwave architectures for quantum control, readout, amplification, and signal routing.
• Develop components and subsystems including filters, amplifiers, mixers, couplers, resonators, and impedance‑matching structures.
• Design and validate room‑temperature and cryogenic RF signal chains.
• Perform electromagnetic simulation, link‑budget analysis, noise analysis, and signal‑integrity optimization.
• Characterize components and systems using vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, and noise‑measurement equipment.
• Optimize phase noise, noise figure, gain, linearity, isolation, bandwidth, cross‑talk, and thermal loading.
• Develop calibration, de‑embedding, and automated test procedures.
• Support integration of RF electronics with quantum processors, cryostats, interposers, PCBs, cables, connectors, and packaging.
• Diagnose performance limitations from reflections, interference, grounding, shielding, drift, and thermal effects.
• Define requirements, interfaces, test plans, and acceptance criteria for RF subsystems.
• Lead technical reviews and collaborate with scientists, electronics engineers, packaging teams, firmware developers, and suppliers.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to RF design standards and roadmaps.
