C12 Quantum Electronics in Paris invites applications for a Thermal Modeling & Cryogenic Systems Engineer (Quantum Hardware). You will own the thermal architecture and models for complex cryogenic quantum systems, ensuring scalability and performance as qubit counts grow, working with quantum physicists and engineers.

Applicants should have a Masters or PhD in a related field, 3+ years in industry, strong thermal engineering and cryogenics expertise, and experience with modeling, data analysis,

Qualifications

  • Masters or PhD in a related field with 3+ years of industry experience.
  • Strong background in thermal engineering and cryogenics.
  • Experience building and maintaining thermal models to guide design decisions.
  • Familiarity with RF and DC wiring, signal thermalization, and cryogenic temperatures.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, scripting, and model automation (Python, Matlab).

Responsabilités

  • Develop and maintain system-level thermal models of quantum hardware across cryogenic stages.
  • Identify thermal constraints and scaling bottlenecks; evaluate architecture options.
  • Own the thermal budget and trade-offs for qubit architectures and cryo-electronics.
  • Validate thermal models with measurements; investigate discrepancies; iterate designs.
  • Design and evaluate thermalization strategies to minimize heat loads while preserving signals.
  • Support integration and operation of cryogenic test platforms; document models and rules.
