C12 Quantum Electronics in Paris seeks an Instrumentalist/Metrologist to own the measurement chain for qubits. You will manage cryogenic DC/microwave control and readout, improve protocols, and ensure scalable, precise metrology across multiple systems.

The role combines hands-on lab work with industrial-scale engineering, requiring strong RF expertise, Python automation, and clear communication with an interdisciplinary team in a dynamic, lab-driven environment.

Qualifications

• You are driven by the engineering and scientific challenge of building a quantum computer.
• PhD in experimental physics or metrology with at least two years post-doc or industry experience.
• Open to sub-fields: superconducting or semiconductor qubits, quantum sensing or communications, etc.

Responsabilités

• Own the end-to-end signal budget of the cryogenic setup: noise temperature, insertion loss, crosstalk, dynamic range.
• Quantify noise impact on qubit coherence and fidelities; calibrate pulses to optimize readout and gates.
• Design dashboards to monitor qubit performance; provide quantitative feedback to R&D teams.
• Drive setup upgrades and new installations from spec to acceptance testing.
