Role Description:

The Enterprise Model Risk Management team seeks a Senior Quantitative Finance Analyst to support the management of price and valuation risks associated with models used in Global Markets, focusing on portfolio model risk analysis and finance models. The role also involves oversight of GM models within the French legal entity.

The role requires hands-on expertise in reviewing and testing complex models, developing tools for analysis, and identifying emerging model risks. Collaboration with model development teams, front-line units, and support functions is essential, along with strong communication skills. The analyst will produce technical reports for stakeholders, including senior management, auditors, and regulators.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform end-to-end market risk stress testing, including scenario design, implementation, results analysis, and reporting.
  2. Lead planning to set quantitative work priorities aligned with the bank’s strategy.
  3. Identify and recommend improvements in model development and validation processes.
  4. Oversee model development and risk management to support business needs and risk appetite.
  5. Provide methodological and technical guidance on development and validation projects.
  6. Communicate validation outcomes effectively to stakeholders and senior management.
  7. Conduct statistical analysis on large datasets, interpreting results with qualitative and quantitative approaches.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Mathematics, Physics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
  • Experience in model risk management or quantitative modeling within a financial institution, especially pricing models.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact at all levels.
  • Deep understanding of modeling processes, performance measures, and risk.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and follow up on issues.
  • Proficiency in Python; knowledge of LaTeX and Git/Bitbucket is a plus.
  • Experience with regulatory interactions and exams.
