Job Description

Safran Quality and Progress directorate, part of Industrial, Purchasing and Performance Direction, is searching for senior leaders of the Safran Progress initiative (F/M) to support operational activities within Safran and its tier companies in Europe.

The Progress direction aims to lead Safran towards high performance through operational excellence, focusing on industrial performance and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will support internal « customers » (Safran tier companies) in transformation, performance improvement, and projects across various industrial domains such as Total Quality Management, Manufacturing Excellence, Supply Chain Management, and Industrialization of products using APQP. They will help deploy, embed, and sustain operational excellence, interacting at all organizational levels and possibly practicing project management, problem solving, change management, coaching, and training.

The progress leader:

  • Engages with Safran companies to define their action scope,
  • Conducts diagnostics, root cause analysis, and problem solving,
  • Develops and leads improvement plans,
  • Facilitates workshops and team activities,
  • Supports change management initiatives,
  • Uses Safran standards and methodologies to develop sustainable solutions,
  • Acts as coach and project leader, transferring knowledge, and
  • Organizes and leads training sessions as needed.

Complementary Description

The candidate should have extensive experience in industrial operations and continuous improvement activities, capable of interacting with all organizational levels, including top executives. They should understand the global context of their customers and be adept at handling various operational situations.

Job Requirements

  • Graduated Engineer with 15-20+ years of experience in managing Total Quality in supply chain or industrial operations, preferably in Aerospace or other complex industries.
  • Strong knowledge of MRP2, ERP systems, and APQP, with certifications like APICS being a plus.
  • Proven expertise in performance improvement, lean transformation, digital evolution, root cause analysis, project management, and leading complex projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, analytical, and organizational skills, with the ability to challenge at all levels and work effectively in teams.

Additional Features

The position is based in France, with responsibilities across Safran sites globally, requiring frequent travel, including internationally.
