We are looking for a candidate capable of leading multiple QA teams in Paris (Cergy), to be a strong voice and champion the QA Team across the full development lifecycle, establishing and improving testing guidelines, training junior and senior QA and QA Leads, as well as being a communication bridge between production, engineering, and QA on a key suite of projects.
Location: Paris studio (Cergy, within Parc Saint-Christophe).
Responsibilities
- Be a strong voice of QA team in production and client meetings & be able to independently define and drive QA strategy for a large project
- In close relation with our video game production teams and in an international environment, you will be tasked with leading a pair of QA Teams in Paris
- Champion QA best practices across the full development lifecycle
- Spend time hands‑on providing leadership by example.
- Assist in the growth and development of the team members. Participating in trainings, reviews, and evaluations.
- Working with producers and other stakeholders to define testing plans and processes (both for embedded Dev QA and external General QA).
- Working hands‑on with QA teams to ensure quality of deliverables and thoroughness of testing coverage.
- Proactively contributing to development and deployment of QA tools.
- Ensuring excellent communication, positive working relationships and teamwork within the development & QA team and across disciplines.
- Keeping abreast of current trends in the marketplace especially regarding best practices, tools and processes.
Qualifications
- At least 5+ years of experience in a QA Leadership role in the game industry.
- At least 9+ years quality assurance experience
- Proven track record of shipped (preferable AAA) games on multiple platforms (PC, console, mobile) in a leadership role
- Project and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent knowledge of testing methodology as well as required software (JIRA / TTP, Excel, PowerPoint...).
- Excellent knowledge of QA tools covering different areas of the development pipeline, their design & functionality.
- Being fluent in English is mandatory for communicating: English written and spoken.
- Working knowledge of SCRUM and Agile practices.
- Work well / respond to pressure.
- Think critically and apply analytical skills in resolving complex issues.
- Quickly master proprietary tools and development processes.
- Strong videogames knowledge.
