Description du poste

At Too Good To Go, we have an ambitious goal: to inspire and empower everyone to fight food waste together.

More than 40% of all food produced in the world is wasted and retailers lose between 1-3% of their annual sales due to food waste. All of this waste has a huge impact on the health of our planet, with 10% of greenhouse gas emissions coming from food waste.

We launched our AI-Driven software solution, the Too Good To Go Platform , used directly by Retailers to track and redistribute surplus food seamlessly. This end-to-end solution, uniquely connected to our consumer marketplace, consists of 4 modules: Expiry Date Management, AI-Powered Discounting, Donations and our most well-known module, Marketplace. This business app is already used by tens of thousands of store employees every day, and soon to be hundreds of thousands by the end of the year across 3 continents.

We’re more than an app: we are a certified B Corporation with a mission to empower everyone to take action against food waste, so alongside our marketplace app, we create educational tools, explore new business solutions - such as Too Good To Go Platform -, and influence legislation to help reduce food waste.

We are growing fast, with a community of 118 million users in 19 countries. Together, we have saved more than 443+ million meals from going to waste since we started - but there’s still a lot more we want to achieve.

The Role

We’re seeking a highly experienced Senior QA Engineer to join our Retail Technologies team in Paris. In this role, you will take full ownership of quality assurance of our native Android Application, across our cross-functional product teams, playing a key role in shaping and maintaining top-tier quality standards.

You’ll collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define and drive a culture of excellence, ensuring that every release is robust, secure, and high-performing.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead and implement QA best practices on our Android Application, tailoring strategies to fit needs.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans and cases, both manual and automated.
  • Continuously improve our QA processes and testing workflows for greater efficiency and coverage.
  • Partner with engineers and PMs early in the product lifecycle to align on quality standards and testing criteria.
  • Serve as the primary QA point of contact, mentoring teammates and advocating for quality at every stage.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement in scalability, reliability, and overall testing strategy.

The Tech Stack

We have several cross-functional product teams, working with multiple tech sacks. Our backend is a Django Application running on Python in Docker, our web interface is built with React, and our mobile application is an Android native App written in Kotlin. Our Marketplace stack, integrated within the Retail Platform, is Java & Spring Boot.

The Ideal candidate’s profile

  • Multiple years of experience in automated testing on native Android Application. We don’t have any preference on testing tools. It will be your responsibility to pick the best stack.
  • Experience working in contexts where hotfixing is complicated.
  • Good organizational skills to be autonomous and define your own roadmap.
  • A form of leadership to implement good QA culture across the organization and raise the bar.
  • Curiosity and attention to detail.

What we offer

  • An opportunity to have a huge impact, knowing what you help design will be used daily by hundreds of thousands of store employees daily, enabling them to save millions of food items per day.
  • A rare opportunity to work in a global social impact company (and certified B Corp!) where you can see a real and tangible impact in your role.
  • An autonomous environment, with several opportunities to contribute, build on experience and take ownership of your work in a way that works for you.
  • A nice bunch of colleagues in the Paris office (~100+ people) and beyond them 1,300+ colleagues across 19 countries that are on the same important mission.
  • Opportunity to influence our product, design and ways of working, every day.
  • An informal atmosphere, with a strong, values-driven team culture where we celebrate successes and socialise with colleagues that care to offer.
  • Relative flexibility at work (we work weekly onsite on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday), and several employee benefits.
  • We win together: Food waste is a big beast to fight. We can do it if we win together as Waste Warriors with no ego. We believe in a #oneteam.
  • We raise the bar: We always push for more. We work smart, smash barriers and elevate one another.
  • We keep it simple: Our ambitions are bold but our solutions are simple.
  • We build a legacy: We’re proud of the change we’re driving.
  • We care: We always look out for each other. Caring is also about the way we do business. We do the right thing.
