The role
Are you eager to manage the expansion, fit-out, and launch of state-of-the-art Fulfillment Centers (FCs) that support Amazon's success and customer satisfaction? This role offers opportunities to travel and work across multiple countries and cultures.

Based in France, with 50% travel within EMEA, you will oversee projects ensuring FCs are built on time and within budget by coordinating various teams and stakeholders. You will support the expansion of Amazon's European fulfillment network, leading cross-functional teams and driving standardization.

Ideal candidates are self-starters with project management experience, capable of leading large projects on tight schedules, mentoring teams, and managing risks related to time, cost, and quality. You should be comfortable interfacing with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include managing CAPEX projects, end-to-end project delivery, scheduling, resource planning, vendor coordination, and risk management. You will work independently in a dynamic environment, ensuring project success from greenfield development to operational launch.

Our EU Startup team is composed of skilled project managers dedicated to building complex FCs across the EU. We value work-life balance and support our team members' development to meet challenging timelines and budgets, enhancing customer experience and operational efficiency.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Operations, Business Administration, or related fields
  • Fluency in English and French
  • Experience in project management and implementation, with a track record of successful project delivery
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Management of infrastructure projects
  • Leadership and development of teams and project resources
  • Full budget ownership and control
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MS Project
  • Basic experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to influence and negotiate with external and internal partners
  • Hands-on experience with technical equipment installation and operations ramp-up
  • Knowledge of material handling equipment and BIM/CAD software
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in process or supply chain optimization
  • Certified Project Management qualification (PMP, Prince2, etc.)
  • Experience launching large logistics facilities
  • Additional language skills such as German, Polish, Portuguese, Arabic, Turkish, Afrikaans, or Zulu are preferred
