Director of Product Management – Life Sciences

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Product Management & Marketing to lead the development and growth of a high-value product portfolio within the life sciences and analytical instrumentation space (chromatography, mass spectrometry).

This leadership role involves team management, product lifecycle ownership, commercial alignment, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver innovative solutions for clients in pharmaceutical, environmental, chemical, and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define vision, roadmap, and go-to-market strategy for the product portfolio
  • Develop and refine product value propositions based on customer insights and market trends
  • Work with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to strengthen market engagement and adoption
  • Ensure differentiation and alignment with business priorities and profitability goals
Portfolio and Financial Management
  • Lead new product introduction (NPI) initiatives, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery
  • Oversee product lifecycle and optimize portfolio performance
  • Monitor revenue, margin, and ROI; report to senior leadership
Team and Cross-functional Leadership
  • Manage a team of Product Managers and Technical Services professionals
  • Partner with Sales, R&D, Operations, and Marketing to support commercial success
  • Drive marketing strategy execution locally and collaborate globally
Market Intelligence and Business Strategy
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends and growth opportunities
  • Prioritize strategic initiatives aligned with revenue and costs
  • Define pricing strategies and commercial policies

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or Business; Master’s degree or MBA preferred
  • At least 10 years of experience in product management or marketing in life sciences or analytical instruments
  • Strong leadership and commercial results experience
  • Deep understanding of chromatography and mass spectrometry markets
  • Financial acumen with experience managing revenue targets and profitability
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in French is a strong asset
  • Ability to travel up to 25%, mainly within Europe
