LGMG is expanding its European agricultural telehandler business and seeks a Senior Agricultural Telehandler Specialist to own the product lifecycle from concept to market success. You will lead strategy, benchmarking, and adaptation for European farms, working with cross-functional teams across Europe.

You will drive roadmaps, conduct field research, and ensure regulatory compliance while guiding product reliability and regional localization efforts.

Job Title: Senior Product Specialist – Agricultural Telehandlers

Location: UK / Netherlands / Europe (Quarterly business travel to China HQ – 3 weeks per trip)

About the Role

We are a globally leading construction machinery company, with core businesses spanning aerial work platforms, mining equipment, and more. Our products and services have reached multiple countries and regions worldwide, and we are now rapidly expanding our agricultural telehandler business into the European market.

To accelerate this growth, we are building a dedicated product line team and looking for a Senior Agricultural Telehandler Specialist based in Europe to serve as a key strategic advisor in product research, competitive benchmarking, troubleshooting, and technical innovation.

This is a high-impact, senior leadership role — you will own the full product lifecycle from concept to market success, define the telehandler technology roadmap, drive competitive benchmarking, and ensure our products meet the real-world needs of European farms.

What You'll Do

Product Strategy & Lifecycle Management

• Define the mid-to-long-term product roadmap for agricultural telehandlers across Europe, covering tonnage ranges, configuration tiers, and feature sets
• Lead product definition, configuration selection, and cost benchmarking for all new models
• Review and assess competitiveness of existing and in-development products – identify gaps, define upgrade roadmaps, and phase-out strategies

Market Research & Industry Trend Analysis

• Conduct deep-dive field research across European farming operations – large-scale crop farming, livestock, straw handling, hilly terrain applications, and more
• Build comprehensive competitive benchmarking against leading European brands – product specs, performance, pricing, distribution, and user reputation
• Track and report on industry megatrends – electrification, automation, lightweighting, multi-function integration, emissions regulations, and CE compliance

Troubleshooting & Product Reliability Optimization

• Lead troubleshooting of complex field issues– from prototype testing to customer-reported failures – and drive engineering solutions
• Champion product reliability and durability improvements across all operating scenarios
• Ensure products meet EU regulatory standards – safety, emissions, road homologation, CE marking
• Drive localisation adaptations for different European regions and farming applications – configuration tailoring, feature upgrades, structural optimisation
• Support certification bodies, sales teams, and customer factory visits with technical expertise

What we are looking for

• European national (EU member state preferred) – native-level English, German, or French; fluent English as working language
• Bachelor‘s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, Agricultural Machinery, or related field
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in the European agricultural telehandler industry – product management, product line leadership, technical expert, or senior R&D roles at leading European agricultural machinery brands
• Deep understanding of European farming operations, user behaviours, competitive landscape, and technology evolution
• Proven track record in product planning, new model development, competitive benchmarking, and market-driven product optimisation
• Solid technical knowledge of telehandler structures, hydraulic systems, powertrains, electronic controls, and attachment integration
• Experience in troubleshooting complex field failures and driving reliability improvements
• Familiarity with EU safety standards, emissions regulations, road homologation, and CE certification
• Experience leading major product programmes – tonnage upgrades, smart features, multi-function integration
• Knowledge of regional differences across Western, Northern, and Southern European farming applications
• Exposure to electrification, new energy, or energy-efficient technologies in agricultural equipment
• Prior collaboration with Chinese manufacturing teams on product development or adaptation – a strong plus
