Description du poste

Malherbe Paris, a leader in retail brand strategy for over 20 years, established its communication division a few years ago. We support clients such as Guerlain, Minuty, Parfums de Marly, Mandarin Oriental, TBM, and Ralph Lauren in crafting holistic brand experiences across brand platforms, branding, advertising, social media, and events.

As Senior Account Director, you will play a key role in driving new business growth while managing and strengthening relationships with major clients. Working closely with the Managing Director in Paris, you will be part of a collaborative, people-centered team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Type of contrat: CDD or freelance

This is a temporary maternity leave replacement for a duration of 5 to 6 months.

Role Requirements

Account Management

  1. Oversee day-to-day client relations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality.
  2. Manage budgets, timelines, and resources efficiently to ensure profitability on each project.
  3. Lead project briefings, creative development, and production follow-up.
  4. Build long-term relationships with key clients, driving loyalty and business growth through excellent service.

Reporting & Operations

  1. Provide regular updates to the Managing Director on project status, sales performance, and client satisfaction.
  2. Manage a team of 3 project managers, supporting the successful execution and financial profitability of the projects they oversee, fostering their professional development, and ensuring their overall well-being at work.
  3. Oversee internal team coordination to ensure smooth execution of all client deliverables.

Strategic Consulting

  1. Advise clients on branding strategies with deep insights into luxury, beauty, and lifestyle markets.
  2. Collaborate with creative teams to develop strategic recommendations that align with clients’ goals.
  3. Monitor industry trends and client challenges to proactively propose innovative solutions.

New Business Development

  1. Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the agency’s client portfolio.
  2. Lead pitch efforts and presentations, showcasing the agency’s capabilities and value proposition.
  3. Drive the development of compelling proposals tailored to prospective clients’ needs and industry trends.
  4. Foster cross-business unit synergies within the agency to unlock new revenue streams.

Qualities & Characteristics

  1. 10+ years of experience in a communications/branding agency, with a strong background in client management and business development.
  2. Expertise in luxury, beauty, and lifestyle industries.
  3. Proven ability to manage major accounts and develop new business.
  4. Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  5. Strong strategic thinking, with the ability to translate client needs into creative and production solutions.
