About this role

With our rapidly growing user base and exciting initiatives on the horizon, we’re at a pivotal moment in defining the future of Yubo. As part of this growth, we are expanding our Product Design team to ensure that our user experience remains world-class while driving meaningful business impact.

As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll report directly to the CDO and collaborate closely with Product Managers in a tight partnership. You’ll also work alongside an enthusiastic team of developers, marketers, and product stakeholders, all united by a shared mission to redefine social discovery.

Your responsibilities

• Design impactful solutions: Create visually stunning and user-friendly interfaces that align with Yubo’s brand identity while prioritizing usability, accessibility, and business outcomes. Your designs will drive measurable engagement and revenue impact.
• User-centric research: Conduct interviews, surveys, and usability tests to deeply understand user needs and pain points. Use these insights to inform your design decisions and iterate on solutions.
• Design system ownership: Maintain and improve Yubo’s design system, ensuring a consistent, scalable, and efficient design language across all our platforms.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with Product Managers, Developers, and other stakeholders to align designs with strategic goals and technical feasibility.
• Actively share your progress, gather feedback, and ensure the seamless implementation of your designs.

Who you are

• You have > 5 years of experience as a Product Designer, ideally in a startup or scale-up environment.
• Strong skills in interface design, usability principles, and design systems. Familiarity with tools like Figma is a plus.
• A user-first mindset: You understand the importance of research and data in shaping design decisions.
• You’re comfortable working in fast-paced, collaborative environments and excel at communicating with cross-functional teams.
• A strong sense of ownership and autonomy, balanced with the ability to give and receive feedback constructively.
• A passion for designing products that make a difference in the lives of millions of users.

Within a month, you will

• Discover all parts of Yubo’s app and our different squads, as well as get a better understanding of the current userbase.
• Fully integrate within the Monetization squad
• Start exploring all of Yubo’s visual assets, get a better understanding of our brand to prepare proper alignment on all future features.

Within 3 months, you will

• Have designed and launched your first high impact feature and new premium flows that increase conversion and retention of paying users, from initial concepts to final implementation.
• Monitor engagement and profitability metrics to start iterating on your freshly released feature.
• Measurably increase ARPU through new premium loops

Within 6 months, you will

• Work on refreshing all of Yubo’s visual assets, including icons, colours and layout, to ensure brand consistency and a modern, engaging aesthetic.
• Explore how AI can revolutionize social discovery and create new monetization opportunities !
