International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. seeks a Senior Process Engineer for its Global R&D Naturals team in Grasse, France. You will lead the industrialization of new natural ingredients, scale-up technologies from pilot to commercial production, and optimize equipment for efficiency and sustainability.

You will collaborate with scientists, operations, and external partners to deliver robust manufacturing solutions and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across projects.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in process engineering within chemical, ingredients, fragrance, flavor or related industries.
• Strong expertise in process design and scale-up including distillation, evaporation, extraction, filtration and crystallization.
• Experience with heat transfer, fluid dynamics, hydraulic calculations and process equipment design.
• Knowledge of automation systems and industrial process control.
• Familiarity with mechanical, electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Demonstrated experience managing engineering projects and capital investments.
• Strong understanding of process safety and industrial compliance requirements.
• Fluency in English; French is highly desirable.

Responsabilités

• Lead the design, sizing and implementation of new process technologies and equipment.
• Drive the industrialization and scale-up from lab to commercial production.
• Optimize and upgrade existing process equipment for performance and sustainability.
• Conduct feasibility studies and assess technological solutions for future needs.
• Lead supplier selection, equipment qualification, FAT/SAT, commissioning and start-up projects.
• Ensure safety, reliability and regulatory compliance of process installations.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation (PFDs, P&IDs, SOPs, specs).
• Support capital investments and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with R&D, Operations and Engineering teams to deliver scalable manufacturing solutions.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and build internal process engineering networks.
