Overview

We are seeking a Senior Presales Consultant/Senior Sales Engineer to join the Axway team! You will be part of our Dubai sales team, representing Axway, a global software company and market leader in governing data flows.

Responsibilities

As a customer-facing Pre-Sales Consultant, your role is to drive new business, evangelize our technology, onboard and train new customers, and develop revenue with existing customers. You should demonstrate high technical expertise on Gateways and industry-leading products, with a proven track record in helping customers define their digital architecture.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with sales teams to define, design, and assess the technical feasibility of solutions.
  • Delivering workshops, demonstrations, technical training, and Proof of Concepts.
  • Providing technical content for RFI/RFP responses.
  • Supporting escalations, designing solutions, and answering technical questions to close sales and build customer relationships.
  • Understanding industry trends and business processes relevant to clients.
  • Developing a strong understanding of Platform Technologies such as Lifecycle, Microservices, B2B, and File Transfer governance, as well as Cloud, On-Premise, and Hybrid environments. Working with technical, sales, professional services, and partner ecosystems.
Qualifications

Essential:

  • Proven relationship management and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple organizations.
  • Understanding of business problems and the ability to articulate solutions using Axway software, building value propositions.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Confidence in leading discussions with Product Managers, Engineers, and Executives.
  • Solid understanding of cloud computing trends.
  • Knowledge of competitive technologies and market positioning.
  • A proactive, collaborative attitude with a sense of urgency.

This role will support clients and partners primarily across Italy.

Technical and Professional Expertise

Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Software Engineer, Pre-Sales, or Technical Consultant, preferably in Enterprise Software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology.

Preferred:

  • Skills in Java, JavaScript, or scripting languages.
  • Experience with K8s/Openshift.
  • Knowledge of AI.
  • Familiarity with messaging queues, communication protocols, REST, web services (SOAP, XML), and security standards (OAuth, SAML, LDAP, SSO).
  • Experience with Software Development Life Cycle and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
