About Our Client

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior PR Manager to build and elevate brand presence across Europe. Reporting to the CMO, you’ll drive media relations, thought leadership, and external communications - shaping voice in the fintech ecosystem and championing their mission to empower SMEs across the continent.

You will play a pivotal role in building public narrative, crafting compelling stories, and establishing relationships with journalists, influencers, and industry stakeholders. You’ll also lead the coordination of local and international PR efforts, managing agencies and internal collaborators to ensure high-impact communication across all markets.

  • Strategic Communications Leadership : Develop and implement PR and communications strategy across Europe, aligning efforts with product launches, strategic milestones, funding rounds, and creative brand initiatives.
  • Media Relations & Executive Positioning : Act as the main liaison for global and local media. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with top-tier tech, finance, and business journalists. Position leadership as influential voices through interviews, bylined articles, and speaker opportunities.
  • Content Creation & Messaging : Write and oversee the creation of press releases, Q&As, executive briefings, op-eds, speeches, and crisis communications. Ensure messaging consistency across all external channels and tailor it to resonate with SMEs and fintech stakeholders.
  • Campaigns & Visibility : Lead and manage PR campaigns tied to launches, partnerships, and corporate announcements. Collaborate with Brand, Social, and Growth teams to amplify visibility at events, conferences, and trade shows.
  • Reputation & Risk Management : Proactively monitor media sentiment, respond to reputational threats, and lead crisis communications with speed and professionalism.
  • Measurement & Optimization : Track PR metrics such as media coverage, sentiment, share of voice, and agency performance to optimize communications strategies.
  • Agency & Team Leadership: Manage local PR agencies, global PR partners, and potential in-house regional PR managers. Lead with a balance of strategic oversight and hands-on execution.

Qualifications

  • Experience : 7+ years in PR or corporate communications, ideally within fintech, SaaS, or high-growth technology companies.
  • Media Expertise: Deep network of media contacts and a proven record of Tier-1 media coverage across multiple European markets.
  • Narrative Development : Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft and adapt narratives for different audiences and regions.
  • Pan-European Market Insight : Understanding of European SME finance dynamics, regulatory factors, and media landscapes.
  • Multilingual Fluency: Fluent in English; proficiency in French, German, Spanish, or Italian is a strong plus.
  • Crisis Comms Acumen : Experience managing communications under pressure and navigating sensitive situations.
  • Management : Previous experience managing agencies or internal comms teams is highly valued.
