Anotech is seeking a Project Senior Piping Material Engineer to lead the definition and specification of piping materials for major contracts, ensuring alignment with contracts, schedule and cost constraints.

Reporting to the Piping Material Lead, you may act as deputy and interface with Project Team and Client, taking ownership of material class development, MTO, bulk quantities, and technical bid analysis, while coordinating with multiple disciplines in a multicultural environment.

Qualifications

• Around 10 years of experience in piping material definition.
• Oil and gas sector background preferred.
• Fluent in English; able to work on France and international assignments.
• Strong communication, analysis and negotiation abilities.

Responsabilités

• Piping Class Development — create class summaries and material specifications.
• Material Take-Off participation and reporting.
• Bulk Quantity Management using SPM.

Job Description

As the Project Senior Piping Material Engineer on major contracts, you are responsible for the definition and specification of piping materials in full alignment with contractual requirements, while ensuring compliance with schedule and cost constraints.

As the Project Senior Piping Material Engineer on major contracts, you are responsible for the definition and specification of piping materials in full alignment with contractual requirements, while ensuring compliance with schedule and cost constraints. Reporting to the Piping Material Lead and working closely with the Project Management Team, you may act as the deputy to the Piping Material Lead and serve as the primary discipline interface for both the Project Team and the Client.

As the Project Senior Piping Material Engineer on major contracts, your key duties include:

• Piping Class Development — Preparation of Piping Classes Summary (with Process), piping material job specifications for design and procurement, valve datasheets, and related documentation.
• Material Take-Off Participation — Contribution to MTO activities: drafting working instructions, coordinating inputs, and ensuring consistent reporting.
• Bulk Quantity Management — Management of quantities using SmartPlant Material (SPM).
• Technical Specifications — Issuance of specifications for both inquiry and purchase order stages.
• Material Requisitions — Preparation and issuance of Material Requisitions for inquiry and order.
• Technical Bid Analysis — Evaluation of vendor offers, clarification management, and technical recommendations to Procurement.
• Vendor Documentation Review — Review and validation of vendor documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements.

To Ensure Successful Project Execution, You Will Interact With

• Project Directors and Project Engineers
• Technical disciplines: Process, Civil Engineering, Piping Design, Instrumentation, Inspection

Requirements

With around 10 years of experience in piping material definition, ideally within the oil & gas sector, you have a strong command of engineering workflows across all contract types, with particular expertise in bulk material management. Autonomous, dynamic, and responsive, you demonstrate excellent communication skills and operate effectively in multicultural environments. A good listener and advisor, you excel at analysis and synthesis, and your solid decision‑making and negotiation abilities enable you to confidently fulfil your responsibilities. You are fluent in English and available for short-term assignments in France and internationally.
