Job summary

A consulting firm is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to oversee planning for EP or EPC projects in gas treatment. Qualifications

• 10 years of experience on large industrial EPC Projects.
• Good knowledge of Primavera P6 (mandatory).
• Past experience in chemical / Oil & Gas / Energy industry is expected.

Job description

We are currently looking for a Senior Planning Engineer experienced Senior Planning Engineer to take over planning of EP or EPC projects for gas treatment units with average duration of 3 years and budget ranging 50-500M Euros.

The main tasks and duties are:

• Ability to prepare the baseline of a project schedule and progress measurement sheets: use the Work Breakdown Structure of the Group
• Ensure that all the activities including those from the customer and other stakeholders are presented
• Coordinate with Disciplines to ensure proper dates, duration, links and weight
• Analyze the critical path (or close to be critical paths) and work with PM to improve and mitigate schedule risk
• Coordinate with project team and discipline team
• Work in close relation with Project Engineer
• Participate to projects reviews and coordination meetings of the project
• On a monthly basis, update the schedule and progress measurement sheets as per actual progress and realistic forecast
• Do the progress analysis (late tasks and coming weeks/look-ahead tasks)
• Propose corrective measures to improve the situation
• Assist in the planning of project execution and in the control of the project to meet the requirements in terms of time deadlines, and progress.
• Support Project Manager in the Project Execution Strategy decisions
• Structure all activities from start of work to the end of project.
• Provide transparency regarding time deadlines and progress.

Requirements

• 10 years of experience on large industrial EPC Projects
• Good knowledge of Primavera P6 (mandatory)
• Good knowledge of Engineering development (P&ID reading, 3D Model needed inputs, E&I cycles, etc…)
• Past Experience in chemical / Oil&Gas / Energy industry is expected
