Ubisoft's Legal Department in Paris seeks a Senior Legal Counsel, Music, to support our Game Production teams worldwide. You will be the go-to legal expert for music-related licensing, synchronization and content questions across multiple studios.

You will draft and negotiate music agreements, provide strategic guidance to production teams, and train colleagues while staying aligned with Ubisoft’s policies and risk tolerance.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in music law, ideally in-house in publishing or recorded music.
• Strong track record drafting and negotiating music contracts, including synchronization licenses and with collective management bodies.
• Experience handling multiple international projects with cross-cultural teams.

Responsabilités

• Draft, review and negotiate music-related agreements (licensing, commissioning, distribution) in French and English.
• Provide strategic and practical legal advice to production teams.
• Be the go-to contact for music-related content questions and provide actionable guidance to teams.
• Support and train creative teams globally, collaborating with other legal counsels to build tools.
• Monitor shifts in music and video game law and advise on potential impacts for production.
• Ensure conformity with Ubisoft’s policies and risk tolerance.
• Contribute to improving standard form agreements and legal processes.
• Collaborate with outside counsel on sensitive pre-litigation matters.
