Latitude seeks a Senior ML Engineer based in France to own production ML initiatives in a high-impact healthcare setting. You will design agentic LLM systems with tool use, retrieval, and orchestration, driving robust evaluation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience shipping production machine learning systems used by real users or customers.
• Hands-on experience deploying LLM-based systems with prompting, tooling, and agent workflows.
• Strong evaluation expertise and ability to distinguish meaningful improvements from noise.
• Solid foundations in machine learning and choosing approaches based on requirements and trade-offs.
• Clear communication and collaboration with technical and clinical stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Own machine learning projects end-to-end, from exploration to production deployment and monitoring.
• Design agentic LLM systems with multi-step workflows, tool use, retrieval, and orchestration for high-stakes environments.
• Develop robust evaluation strategies, including datasets, offline/online testing, and human-in-the-loop review.
• Improve model performance through prompt engineering, retrieval optimization, distillation, or fine-tuning.
• Work across the ML lifecycle: data prep, adaptation, serving, monitoring, feedback loops.
• Translate clinical requirements into technical solutions, identifying trade-offs early.
• Review code, share knowledge, and mentor engineers to uphold engineering excellence.
• Explore AI-assisted approaches to improve productivity and team workflows.
