Job summary

Beacon Biosignals is seeking a Machine Learning engineer to design, develop, and deploy biosignal-based ML and deep learning models aimed at advancing sleep, neurological, and psychiatric therapies. You will collaborate with data scientists, neuroscientists, engineers, and clinicians, contributing to the full lifecycle from data curation to production deployment.

You will employ PyTorch and modern DL approaches, while applying DSP and statistics where appropriate, and you will follow best

Qualifications

• More than 4 years of industry experience in ML/DL, preferably in health sciences or regulated fields.
• Experience with DSP and statistics; use the right tool for the job.
• Proficient in PyTorch or similar DL frameworks for training and deployment.
• Familiarity with recent DL advances (Transformers/ViT, large-scale modeling).
• Practices software/ML engineering like testing, version control, code reviews, documentation, and CI/CD.
• Familiarity with biosignals, medical imaging data, or large time-series datasets.
• Strong collaboration and ability to communicate complex topics to varied audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the biosignal-based algorithm development lifecycle from scoping to production deployment.
• Select and develop appropriate methods; know when to apply DL vs other methods.
• Enhance internal ML tools; expand architectures and enable rapid experimentation.
• Document and test algorithms; ensure user-friendly, well-documented code with CI.
• Present results to stakeholders and support client engagement with algorithms.
• Support client-facing projects to shape impact of Beacon algorithms for customers.
