Senior MEP Construction Lead for Data Center Projects

Job summary

DayOne is seeking a Construction Manager (MEP) to oversee the full lifecycle of MEP construction for datacenter projects, coordinating with site teams and contractors to ensure on-time delivery.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in MEP project management, with strong knowledge of HVAC, power, fire protection, and plumbing, plus IST testing and local authority approvals. Proficiency in MS Project/MS Office and strong cost-capital planning are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in construction project management within the MEP/engineering field; datacenter experience highly preferred.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale MEP projects with strong knowledge of HVAC, power systems, fire protection and plumbing.
• Expertise in MEP systems, approvals processes with local authorities, and IST testing and commissioning of critical infrastructure in datacenters.
• Solid understanding of CAPEX planning, cost estimation, and total cost of ownership (TCO) for M&E systems in datacenters.
• Engineering degree in Mechanical or Electrical or a related field.
• Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project) and MS Office; with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Demonstrates initiative, collaboration, and resilience under pressure.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional APAC languages advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire MEP construction lifecycle, including planning, execution, and handover phases.
• Coordinate with site and contractor teams to ensure timely completion of M&E project milestones.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, and communicate updates on schedules, budgets, and technical issues to stakeholders.
