Inyanga Maritime in Europe is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to drive the HydroWing tidal energy system from concept through offshore deployment. You will lead a skilled engineering team, deliver robust mechanical designs, and oversee fabrication tooling and offshore installation activities.

The role requires strong SolidWorks/ANSYS/STAAD Pro skills, plus offshore engineering experience and travel flexibility.

Qualifications

• This role requires a degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong experience in offshore equipment, heavy mechanical engineering or renewable energy.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, ANSYS and STAAD Pro.
• Knowledge of structural steelwork, fabrication and offshore engineering.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• Experience in tidal energy, offshore wind or marine engineering desirable.
• Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership desirable.
• Willingness to travel offshore as projects require.

Responsabilités

• Lead a small engineering team.
• Support project delivery, schedules and budgets.
• Lead design of HydroWing mechanical systems.
• Develop offshore equipment and installation tooling.
• Perform engineering calculations and FEA using ANSYS/STAAD.
• Produce SolidWorks models and manufacturing drawings.
• Prepare specifications, reports and design documentation.
• Support procurement, FAT and offshore commissioning.
• Participate in design reviews and offshore campaigns.
• Liaise with suppliers, fabricators, clients and certification bodies.
