Overview:

Mastercard Services is responsible for acquiring, engaging and retaining customers by accompanying our clients with consulting, marketing services, data analytics, services to fight against fraud & risks and solutions around cybersecurity. Our team also proposes means to improve the digital payments experience while providing value added services and using expertise, data-driven insights and execution.

Role Description and Major Responsibilities

  1. Develop business in Consulting & Security on specific accounts (Financial Institutions & large Fintechs) in France in a team work with Account & BD Managers.
  2. Lead sales calls and new client development across all lines of Services Business for an assigned set of accounts in France.
  3. Deliver against sales targets for existing accounts and/or contribute to Mastercard deal bids.
  4. Capture senior and mid-level clients’ implicit business needs in addition to articulated requests, and identify most critical aspects of the problem.
  5. Translate objectives into key hypotheses and structure work for large/complex projects or ill-defined problems.
  6. Contribute to formal and informal pitches, from “storyboarding” through face-to-face presentation.
  7. Create succinct, persuasive written materials tailored to the “level” of the audience.
  8. Contribute to project delivery, quickly identifying shortcomings in projects and take remedial action.
  9. Manage complete capture of assignment knowledge and drive to ensure it is available firm-wide (knowledge management).
  10. Contribute as a thought leader to the development of intellectual capital, point of views, articles, and blogs.
  11. Leverage deep knowledge of all the Mastercard Services capabilities and how they fit together to offer new innovative solutions.

All About You

Education Needed

  • Undergraduate degree required.
  • MBA or relevant post graduate degree recommended.

Experience and Skills Needed

  • Experience in Business Development in Payments, Services, Security.
  • Experience in top management consulting firms and in relevant industry.
  • Financial Services or Security Solutions Background.
  • Knowledge of payments market, trends and opportunities.
  • Demonstrates the ability to initiate, develop, and close a sale.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills, including ability to frame the customer’s opportunity in financial terms (i.e. value quantification).
  • Ability to think from the perspective of the customer.
  • Ability to gain consensus with others and coordinate team of consultants and subject matter experts around goal.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal French and English.
