Fanatics Commerce in Paris is seeking a Senior Manager – Retail Operations to oversee France's multi-site store network, including permanent stores, pop-ups, and events. Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years in retail or field operations with multi-site exposure.
  • Strong command of retail KPIs and data-driven decision making.
  • Excellent Excel and reporting tool proficiency.
  • Experience coordinating across Marketing, Finance, HR, and Supply Chain.
  • Experience leading retail projects such as store openings or promos.
  • Fluent in English and French; able to operate in both languages.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Senior Manager – Retail Operations France supports the Retail Director in the operational, commercial, and analytical management of retail activities spanning permanent stores, pop‑up locations, and event venues across France. This role serves as a critical coordination hub between field teams and support functions — including Marketing, Finance, HR, and Supply Chain — ensuring strategic retail initiatives are executed with precision and that performance standards are consistently met across the network. The Senior Manager – Retail Operations France delivers business and fan impact through BOLD leadership and execution excellence, leveraging data, automation, and AI‑enabled insights.

Team & Leadership Impact (Build Championship Teams)
Cross‑Functional Leadership:
  • Act as the primary liaison between stores, head office, and support departments — including Marketing, Finance, HR, and Supply Chain — ensuring alignment, clear communication, and coordinated execution of retail priorities across the French network.
  • Assist in preparing business reviews, presentations, and strategic meeting materials, enabling effective decision‑making at leadership level and driving alignment across functions.
  • Ensure proper circulation and organisation of operational information across the retail network, maintaining clarity and consistency in how priorities are cascaded to field teams.
People Leadership:
  • Support the coordination of field visits, travel arrangements, and meetings for the Retail Director, helping to maintain strong connectivity between head office and store management teams.
  • Act as a trusted relay between the Retail Director and store managers, fostering a culture of accountability, alignment, and collaborative problem‑solving across the French retail network.
Fan & Customer Impact (Obsessed with Fans)
  • Contribute to maintaining high operational standards across all retail locations, ensuring every fan and customer interaction reflects a best‑in‑class experience across permanent stores, pop‑up activations, and event venues.
  • Support the follow‑up of operational issues and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve disruptions quickly, minimising any impact on the fan experience.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of promotional campaigns and product launches that drive fan engagement and commercial performance.
  • Act as a key relay between store management teams and head office, ensuring fan‑facing priorities are clearly communicated and consistently delivered across the retail network.
Innovation & Problem Solving (Limitless Entrepreneurial Spirit)
  • Collect, consolidate, and analyse retail data — including sales, margin, conversion rate, average basket, and stock levels — to surface improvement opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
  • Update and maintain performance dashboards and reporting tools, continuously improving the quality and usability of insight available to the Retail Director and wider leadership team.
  • Support retail transformation projects including store openings, refurbishments, and pop‑up activations, bringing structure and analytical rigour to each initiative.
  • Identify opportunities to apply digital tools and automation to streamline reporting, coordination workflows, and operational tracking.
Ownership & Execution (Determined & Relentless Mindset)
  • Prepare accurate weekly and monthly reports covering sales performance, KPIs, margins, and stock levels, ensuring timely and high‑quality outputs that underpin commercial decision‑making.
  • Monitor the follow‑up of store action plans and operational initiatives, holding accountability for progress tracking and escalation where required.
  • Support the monitoring of selected retail department budgets and expenses, ensuring financial discipline and accurate record‑keeping.
  • Manage the Retail Director’s calendar, administrative priorities, meeting materials, and correspondence, enabling the leadership team to operate with maximum efficiency.

CAPABILITIES & EXPERIENCE YOU BRING
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within a retail and/or field operations environment, with demonstrable exposure to multi‑site or network‑level operations.
  • Strong command of retail KPIs — including sales performance, average basket, conversion rate, stock management, and margin — with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and reporting tools, with experience building and maintaining performance dashboards used by senior stakeholders.
  • Proven experience coordinating across multiple functions (e.g. Marketing, Finance, HR, Supply Chain) in a fast‑paced retail or commercial environment.
  • Experience supporting or leading retail projects such as store openings, pop‑up activations, refurbishments, or promotional campaign execution.
  • Excellent organisational, prioritisation, and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing demands while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Professional level of English required, in addition to fluency in French; ability to operate confidently across both languages in a business context.
Education:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Management, Retail, or a related field.
