A leading pharmaceutical company is seeking a Senior Manager for Scientific Communications in Paris. The role involves adapting global communication strategies for hematology and oncology, coordinating with various stakeholders and ensuring quality deliverables. Candidates must hold a PhD, MD, or PharmD and have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Scientific Communications or Medical Affairs, specifically in France and Belgium. Fluency in English and French is required, with additional languages a plus.
As a Senior Manager, Scientific Communications, you will support the development, alignment, and country level adaptation of the global scientific communications plan for the hematology and oncology Medical Affairs portfolios. You will work in strategic partnership with the country level Medical Affairs Franchise Directors and the Global Lead of the Hematology and Oncology Scientific Communications to develop communications goals that are specific to the French and Belgian Healthcare Communities.
The primary responsibilities are to adapt the global scientific communications platforms and lexicons, and other assets, to ensure the delivery of country relevant content in line with the vision of the comprehensive global scientific communication plans. This may include evaluating and ensuring the value, country relevance, quality, and impact of all deliverables, and the alignment of medical communications with internal and external partners. Country level adaptations will include ensuring appropriate local standards of care are taken into consideration as well as other territory specific variables such as local language where necessary. A working knowledge of the local and regional regulations is expected to guide compliant communications.
You will work within a multifunctional, matrix organization, collaborating with colleagues within the Medical Affairs group (including franchise medical directors, field medical, medical information, multichannel and omnichannel communications, medical operations, medical education, HEOR, publications, and medical review committees). You will work with global as well as local internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, you will manage vendor interactions, ensure the scientific quality of the deliverables, and ascertain that goals are met in a timely manner.
To be considered for this position, you are required to have a PhD, MD, or PharmD. A minimum of 2+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including 2 years in Scientific Communications and / or Medical Affairs in France and / or Belgium, with a strong background in hematology and / or oncology. Familiarity with the EFPIA Code, as well as French and Belgian relevant health codes, anti-gift laws, and other applicable industry codes & regulations for pharmaceutical companies.
