A leading company in the travel technology space is seeking a Senior Manager Engineering to oversee their Travel Records Data Capabilities teams. This role emphasizes strategic resource planning and collaboration with various business units to enhance data governance and facilitate innovative solutions in data management. The successful candidate will have a strong background in people management and cross-functional teamwork, playing a pivotal role in advancing the business's objectives.

Senior Manager EngineeringBusiness EnvironmentThe Travel Records Data Capabilities department is a key organizational unit within the TSI-TSR-TRD division. It plays an important role in managing and evolving data capabilities related to Amadeus Reservations, with a clear focus on data governance for all Reservation domains, security, innovation, and collaboration across Business Units (BUs).
It is composed of 3 teams in Nice (Bel Air):
The Reservation BI Platform team, responsible for Reservation Data governance and the security framework in the Amadeus Data Mesh, supporting Airline, Distribution, and Hospitality teams in the use of our data. The team also works closely with the GSOC Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) organization to provide and grow a new business of a fraud detection service for airlines.
The Reservation BI Solutions team, responsible for building the Amadeus Fraud Detection Platform (Neloma).
The Publisher team, responsible for sending Passenger Name Record (PNR) data to external customers (Airlines, Travel Agencies) and many internal customers (Billing, DIH, OrMS, Inventory…).
And 1 team in Bogotá:
The Push to Customs and Publisher Implementations team, closely aligned with the Publisher team and focused on the feeds sent to worldwide customs.
The Senior Manager will be responsible for guiding and supporting the Travel Record Data Capabilities teams.
This role involves thoughtful resource planning across different trains (Creation Platform, Airline, and Distribution).
As the department manages many cross-functional products and solutions, there will be a strong focus on collaboration and shared decision-making with different BUs. The Senior Manager will work with various BUs (Airline, Distribution, Hospitality, Creation Platform, CISO, and Legal division) to support business decisions and achieve organizational goals.
As the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) continues to evolve, and the department is actively involved in managing AI-related solutions, the Senior Manager will also explore future opportunities with the teams.
Familiarity with the Amadeus ecosystem of products, platforms, and solutions is helpful but not required.
Key Accountabilities
People Management
Oversee a full set of people management activities including recruitment, compensation planning, and career development
Support and guide team members in developing their capabilities
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
Define objectives for managers and staff to achieve better results for Amadeus
Monitor progress and ensure alignment with department and company goals
Delivery
Coordinate the allocation of resources across different trains
Ensure the efficient use of resources to meet project deadlines and objectives
Collaborate with teams on business prioritization (BO role)
Business Development
Work with other departments in large-scale decision-making processes
Build knowledge and capabilities in fraud detection for our customers and advocate for the funding of innovative solutions
Enhance and expand our data governance model and security framework to other data domains
Qualifications
Experience in a management role
Ability to guide and support diverse teams
Strong organizational skills
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
