Qualifications

  • 7 ans d'expérience en tant que conseiller juridique en entreprise dans les secteurs industriel/technologique.

Description du poste

Schneider Electric is looking for a highly skilled and motivated senior In-House Legal counsel to accompany development of electrical vehicle and energy storage solutions in Europe within its newly created JV E-Star.

French, English and Chinese Language is mandatory for this role.

Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and industrial automation and Star Charge, a global pioneer in EV charging and energy storage technology, have signed a joint venture agreement aimed at driving innovation in the European electric vehicle (EV) and energy storage markets.

The joint venture will create a leading European prosumer company delivering EV charging infrastructure, photovoltaic inverters, AC and DC charger, and storage systems to the European market. This strategic partnership will combine the complementary strengths of StarCharge, with its recognized EV charging and energy storage technologies and production capability, and Schneider Electric, with its deep knowledge of the European market, extensive footprint and leading energy management solution technologies.

Job Summary:

You will provide expert legal support to the European activities of our JV E-Star. Define the legal strategy to identify and reduce the company's exposure to legal risks due to its activities and contribute to the company's economic development and operational performance. You will work closely with Schneider Electric group legal team for Europe operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Legal Advisory: Provide comprehensive legal advice on the day-to-day operations of the company and primarily legal support to company commercial activities (contract review, drafting and negotiation), identification and mitigation of legal risks; you will oversee and advise with respect to disputes relating to transactions, specifically with distributors, suppliers, and customers. Provide leadership on complex legal matters across commercialization, privacy, marketing.
  • Policies deployment: Ensure that all E-Star activities comply with Schneider Electric Group policies and standards (Competition law, cybersecurity, Data protection, ….) and create required interfaces and close cooperation with Schneider Electric relevant functions within Group Legal Department and other cross functional teams (HR, compliance, finance…).
  • Training and Education: Conduct training sessions for internal teams to raise awareness and understanding of legal requirements and best practices.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Stay updated on the latest legal developments in Europe and report on potential impacts to the company.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s degree from an accredited law school, with a focus on international business law
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of professional in-house experience in industrial / technology sectors.
  • Skills: very strong legal reasoning skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

Strong business acumen; ability to work closely with internal stakeholders and exercise sound professional judgment in identifying issues that need reference to management and/or colleagues legal experts within the business unit or the group.
