Role And Responsibilities

As a Senior Legal Counsel to the Europe South Hub (France, Italy, and Greece):

1. Be a trusted and dedicated senior legal advisor for the Hub, aligning with business leaders and coordinating with other legal counsels on legal, compliance, and governance matters including sales, distribution, retail, marketing, competition, procurement, operations, employment, and corporate issues.
2. Contribute to strategic discussions, projects, and activities with business leaders to support the fulfillment of strategic objectives, in coordination with other legal counsels of the Europe South Hub.
3. Monitor and communicate policies, laws, and regulations to ensure sustainable business practices. Manage litigations and investigations in local markets. Provide training, manage outside counsel, and review agreements and documentation.
4. Ensure compliance with corporate policies such as the Business Conduct Manual and Anti-Bribery policies. Handle non-compliance issues in collaboration with Legal Directors. Provide training and coaching on compliance topics.
5. Collaborate effectively with other legal team members across EMEA, align on goals with business leaders, liaise with EMEA Legal Leadership and corporate legal departments, and act as a mentor and point of contact for legal team members. Lead or co-lead regional legal activities.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Civil Law from an EMEA university. Admitted to practice law in an EMEA jurisdiction.
• Minimum 10 years post-qualification experience as an attorney and legal counsel, with experience in law firms and business environments, including company, commercial, litigation, regulatory, financial, data privacy, and labor law.
• Experience in a business or commercial environment, preferably as part of a management steering or executive team.
• Interest or understanding of the tire or automotive industry is a plus.
• International exposure and experience in matrix organizations with dual reporting structures.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships and instill confidence.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and communicate clearly and concisely in both verbal and written formats.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Fluency in English and French and/or Italian; additional languages are a plus.
