Qualifications

  • 10 ans d'expérience post-qualification en tant qu'avocat et conseiller juridique.

Senior Legal Counsel

Role and Responsibilities:

  1. Be a trusted and dedicated senior legal advisor for the Hub, in alignment with the business leaders of the Hub and in coordination with other legal counsels of the Hub, on a wide range of legal, compliance and governance matters including sales, distribution and retail, marketing, competition, procurement, operations, employment and corporate.
  2. Contribute to the strategic discussions, projects and activities with business leaders in the Hub. Be a key contributor to allow the strategic objectives to be fulfilled, in coordination with other legal counsels of the Europe South Hub.
  3. Ensure policies and applicable laws and regulations are monitored and communicated to secure sustainable business. Manage litigations and investigations in the respective local markets. Provide trainings. Manage and ensure alignment with outside counsels to secure the interests of the local organizations in line with budget. Draft and review any agreements/documentation, including project documentation, standard agreements and legal matters.
  4. Ensure compliance with corporate policies such as Business Conduct Manual, Anti-Bribery, etc. Own the handling of non-compliance issues in close alignment with the Legal Directors. Provide training and coaching on those topics.
  5. Ensure proper collaboration with other legal team members of the EMEA region and align on main goals with relevant business leaders. Liaise with the EMEA Legal Leadership Team, other members of the EMEA legal team and corporate legal department in Headquarters on specific matters and topics. Act as mentor and point of contact for other Legal Team members. Be active member of the EMEA legal function, and lead/co-lead certain functional activities (e.g., practice groups, expertise centers).

Minimum Qualifications:

Degree in Civil Law from a University in EMEA. Admitted to practice law in an EMEA jurisdiction.

Profile:

  1. 10 years post qualification experience as attorney (including experience in law firm) and legal counsel in a business environment. Experience and knowledge of company, commercial, litigation, regulatory, financial, data privacy and labor law.
  2. Substantive experience within a business/commercial environment. Have experience / be member of a business management steering/executive team.
  3. An understanding/interest of the tire or automotive industry (not essential) - International exposure - Matrix organization - Dual reporting.
