Deepki in Paris is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to act as a business partner in their growth. The position involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts in both French and English, alongside managing relationships with suppliers. Candidates should have a Master 2 in Business Law and 4+ years of experience. Fluency in French and English is mandatory. This hybrid role allows 3 days a week in the office and offers a fixed-term contract from May to December 2026.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in international law firms or legal departments of tech/SaaS companies.
• CAPA and/or English/New York bar qualification would be a plus.
• Experience in managing a dynamic workload.

We’re actively looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join the team and act as a true business partner to help in the company’s growth in France and internationally.

Fixed term contract - May to December 2026

Paris based - hybrid model 3 days/week in office

Your Day-to-day Will Include

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts in French and English, e.g., SaaS license agreements, service agreements, non-disclosure agreements
• Supporting international Sales teams in commercial negotiations.
• Managing relationships and contracting processes with external suppliers and service providers.
• Assisting the legal team in developing training projects for the sales, product, and delivery teams.
• Contributing to the implementation of AI systems to streamline and automate internal contractual processes.

Profile

• Master 2 or equivalent in Business Law, Digital Law, or DJCE (Diplôme de Juriste Conseil d'Entreprise). CAPA and/or English/New York bar qualification would be a plus.
• Specialist in IP/IT law with 4+ years of experience acquired in international law firms or within the legal department of a tech/SaaS company with a footprint in France and in the UK and/or US.
• Fluent in French and English (C1) mandatory, both oral and written (daily work with our international offices). Spanish/German would be a plus.
• Soft Skills:
• Adept at managing a dynamic workload within a fast-growing company
• Pedagogical and pragmatic approach with the ability to be a business advisor, and not being purely legal.
• Excellent writing skills and ability to synthesise information.
• Ability to simplify subjects to turn complex circumstances into simple decisions.
• Agility and capacity to prioritise competing needs within a fast-evolving environment.
